Nov 2007

SASH is pleased to announce we have been successful in our application withTesco Grants.  We have been awarded £1,000 which will be put to good use. The money will go towards SASH's Social Group core funding and help to subsidise future events. Many thanks to everyone involved in securing this bid.

SASH's Fundraising DISCO which took place on Friday 9th November was enjoyed by those who attended. Hot pot supper was served as well as a raffle. Our thanks go to staff for help with preparation, Eileen Bailey Trustee, for organising the venue and everyone who supported our charity.

July 2007

SASH Annual fundraiser took place on the 29th July at Burnage Cricket Club. The day was kindly attended by Lady Mayor Cllr June Somekh and the day along with the weather was hailed a great success.  Fun was enjoyed by everyone and the legendary raffle helped to raise essential funds. May we offer our thanks to everyone involved and the continued support from trustees, members, friends, carers and families.

SASH Car Boot Fundraising day on Sunday 20th at Burnage Cricket Club was a great success. Trustee Eileen Bailey organised the event and Trustees, Volunteers and Staff offered help and donations. Everyone enjoyed the day and £186.34 was raised. Thanks to everyone involved. Look out for future fundraising events!.

SASH aiming to become an acreddited provider of Home Support Services in Stockport.

Trustee Adrian Lee and individuals Nigel Taylor, Alastair Macaulay and Jamie Lee gave a presentation to all councillors at their chambers in Stockport Town Hall.

January 2007

Chris Etchells, manager of Tameside Link agreed to work as a consultant for SASH, working up to 10 hours a week.

December 2006

Employee's Trustees ands Volunteers celebrated Christmas by visiting Green's Restaurant, Didsbury.

Individuals from the "Plan for the Future" Group enjoyed a three course meal at the Old Rectory,Stockport.

November 2006

Trustees held a charity stall on Ashton market to raise SASH's profile and additional funds.

October 2006 

SASH members begin political action to ensure objectives are met following the meeting on the 4th September.

Interview with Pure Radio broadcasted on air.

SASH advertises for first Support Worker.

September 2006

Recruited another volunteer to work on a one to one basis with a SASH member to increase skills, knowledge and social inclusion.

August 2006

Louise completes NVQ Level 4 (Adults) in Health & Social Care at Stockport College.

First CSCI Inspection as a Domicilliay Care Agency.

July 2006

David Tanner (Chair), Louise Coulson (Development Worker) and Nigel Taylor were interviewed by Pure Radio about the services SASH provides and the role of volunteers in the organisation. This was broadcasted on the 4th October 2006.

Successful BBQ fundrasising event attended by the Mayor Mr Peter Burns and his wife Mayoress Patricia Burns. Fun day enjoyed by everyone and thanks to our hosts Adrain and Wendy Lee.

June 2006 

SASH participates at the Carer's Day event at Stockport Town Hall organised by Signpost for Carers.

May 2006

AGM held at Prospect House. Minutes available from the SASH Office.

John Herbert recruited as Programme Manager , working 20 hours a week to assist Louise in delivering SASH objectives and targets.
